Kimberly Read arrived in Prince George last month for a new job and is already loving one thing in particular: traffic (and the sun).
"I have most of the amenities I am used to, everything is less than 10 minutes away, my commute can't be better, and there is so much sun," Read tells PrinceGeorgeMatters.
The biggest difference? Less stress and less aggressive city drivers compared to Vancouver.
"Driving here is way less stressful than I am used to ... Of course, I haven't had to drive in the snow yet, so that might change. But I am used to long commutes and bumper-to-bumper traffic and much more aggressive drivers," she says. "In Vancouver, there are so many people trying to get ahead that people cut each other off constantly and make dangerous manoeuvres. Here, people seem less in a rush and less selfish about road space."
So sit back, relax, and enjoy this peaceful "four-minute commute" from Foothills to the University of Northern British Columbia.
