VIDEO: Cariboo-Prince George MP Todd Doherty celebrates winning a second term with local supporters

Conservative candidate had almost 53 per cent of the riding’s votes

Todd Doherty was elected a second term as the Member of Parliament for Cariboo-Prince George last night (Oct. 21).

The Conservative candidate for the riding won with 52.8 per cent of the vote over Liberal Tracy Calogheros, NDP’s Heather Sapergia, Green Party’s Mackenzie Kerr, People’s Party Jing Lan Yang and Independent Michael Orr.

This was the sixth straight federal election the blue party took the seat in the House of Commons representing north-central B.C.

Doherty celebrated his victory at the Courtyard Marriott in Prince George with his constituents and supporters.
