The Victor Walk to raise awareness and speak out against childhood trauma will take to the city streets this Saturday.
Starting at noon, participants will walk from the courthouse along George Street, then along Fifth Avenue to Quebec Street and then along Third Avenue back to the courthouse.
A national movement powered by an Orange Wave of Courage, it will be held in support of the one in two girls and one in three boys who, according to the organization, experience an unwanted traumatic event before they are 18 years of age.
A walk led by child advocate and former NHL superstar Theo Fleury will be held simultaneously in Calgary.
