The victim of a Tuesday evening fire on North Kelly Road on Tuesday evening is now deceased.
Police confirmed Wednesday that the 21-year-old female succumbed to her injuries early that day morning after suffering the burns at approximately 5:30 p.m. the night before. She was rushed to university hospital from the residence on the north side of the city.
"No foul play is suspected," said Prince George RCMP spokeswoman Const. Julie Champagne, however the investigation has not concluded.
The incident took place in the 8700 block of North Kelly Road. Emergency responders received a distress call telling of the woman being on fire. Nothing else was reportedly burned.
No further details were available as of press time.
