The first-place Penticton Vees hosted the last-place Prince George Spruce Kings Saturday in Penticton and the outcome wasn’t pretty for the visitors.
The Vees pasted the Spruce Kings 8-0 in front of 2,918 witnesses at South Okanagan Events Centre.
Callum Arnott collected two goals and an assists, Calgary Flames draft pick Cade Littler had a goal and two assists and Billy Renfrew picked up four assists to lead the Vees to their 28th win in 39 games this season.
Will Ingemann stopped all 10 shots he faced to record his fourth shutout of the season.
The Vees (28-7-2-2) have won four of the five games against Prince George this season, outscoring the Kings a combined 34-11.
The Spruce Kings (13-28-3-0) are back on the B.C. Hockey League road to visit Vancouver Island this weekend. They Victoria on Friday, Cowichan Valley on Saturday and Alberni Valley next Sunday afternoon.
