Vanderhoof residents will vote for a new member of council next month.
The district will hold a byelection Feb. 16 to fill a vacancy for the remainder of Coun. Louise Levy's three-year term which began in December 2011.
Levy stepped down from the Vanderhoof government at the end of October after moving to Prince George.
Three people are in the running for Levy's seat: Marje Makow, John Murphy and Peet Vahi.
General voting will be open to qualified electors of the District of Vanderhoof on Feb. 16 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. at the Friendship Centre, 219 Victoria St. An advance voting opportunity will be Feb. 6 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. at the District of Vanderhoof Municipal Office.
