Prince George RCMP say a man serving parole in the city who went missing earlier this month has been found.
The Canada-wide warrant for Tal Kalum LaRiviere was made public this morning (Feb. 18) and hours later, the 31-year-old was arrested and taken into custody by police in Grande Prairie, Alberta.
The warrant was initially issued on Feb. 2 after he missed his curfew at his designated home in Prince George, which was part of the conditions for his release.
Police are thanking residents in B.C. and Alberta for their help in finding LaRiviere.

The Prince George RCMP are looking for a man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.
Police issued the Canada wide warrant for being unlawfully at large for 31-year-old Tal Kalum LaRiviere on Saturday, Feb. 2.
The arrest warrant was issued after LaRiviere failed to meet the conditions of his release by missing curfew at his designated residence in Prince George.
Police say all efforts to locate LaRiviere have been negative so far and are now asking for the public’s help in locating him. He is described as:
- Metis male
- 188 cm (6’2”)
- 88 kg (194 lbs)
- Brown hair
- Brown eyes
LaRiviere has connections in Vernon and Grimshaw, Alberta and may be travelling in Northern Alberta or Northern B.C. He is believed to be driving a blue 1994 GMC 1500 pick-up bearing B.C. license plate MY9880.
If LaRiviere or his vehicle are located, immediately contact the RCMP or the police of jurisdiction in your area or call 9-1-1. Do not confront LaRiviere as he should be considered violent.
