A man was killed Friday morning in a collision with a tractor-trailer unit east of the city.
Prince George RCMP, who were called to the scene at 10 a.m., said the collision occurred on Highway 16 near Purden, about 40 kilometres east of the city.
The stretch will remain closed for several hours yet, RCMP said in an update issued at 1:45 p.m., to allow investigators to gather evidence. Estimated time of reopening is 7 p.m., according to DriveBC.
The victim's name was not released.
