Another UNBC basketball player has been recognized, this time on the men's side.
Canada West announced its all-stars for the 2019-20 season and T-Wolves' freshman Fareed Shittu was included.
Shittu made the Canada West All-Rookie Team alongside Victoria's Diego Maffia, Mount Royal's Nate Petrone, Brandon's Anthony Tsegakele and Calgary's Noah Wharton.
Fareed Shittu rewrote the @unbc record books this year, setting new @UNBCBasketball freshman marks for points, rebounds, blocks, AND steals! He also sat TOP 5 overall in @CanadaWest in rebounding and blocks, and now, he's a member of the CW All-Rookie Team! Congrats, Fareed! pic.twitter.com/r8s9g1MnEV

He came in fourth for total rebounds with 182 and also finished seventh in field-goal percentage.
Shittu also set UNBC records for a freshman in points, rebounds, blocks and steals.
Despite claiming the Canada West 2019-20 scoring title, UNBC's Tyrell Laing was not named to any all-star teams.
