Five UNBC students spent five nights this past week under little more than flimsy cardboard.
The campaign, which concludes today at noon at the Winter Garden in UNBC, began on Sunday to raise awareness for the plight of the homeless in this community and beyond. Living and sleeping outside together in the cardboard shelter, the students went without showers, electronic devices and they could only eat food that was donated to them.
Funds raised during the campaign will be donated to Community Partners Addressing Homelessness, a organization composed of various local groups including municipal government and social agencies.
