UNBC student recognized for engagement with arctic communities

A researcher at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) has been recognized for her work with arctic communities and for her respect for the traditional knowledge of northern peoples.

A researcher at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) has been recognized for her work with arctic communities and for her respect for the traditional knowledge of northern peoples.

Sonja Ostertag, a doctorate candidate in the natural resources and environmental science program at UNBC, was recently honoured by the Inuit Circumpolar Council, Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Program and the Northern Contaminants Program at the International Conference on Mercury as a Global Pollutant.
