UNBC professor's book looks at the polar regions

A University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) professor has published a book describing the precarious balance between three factors affecting sustainable tourism at the Earth's extremities.

A University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) professor has published a book describing the precarious balance between three factors affecting sustainable tourism at the Earth's extremities.

"There are other books on polar tourism out there, but this is the first to give such comprehensive and even geographic coverage of the key dimensions in the areas of human, environment, and governance," said Patrick Maher, who co-edited the book Polar Tourism: Human, Environmental, and Governance Dimensions with two New Zealand professors.
