Already established with students as one of Canada’s top undergraduate universities, UNBC is also a perennial choice with staff and faculty as a place to work.
On Tuesday, the university was selected for Mediacorp’s Top Employers in British Columbia – the 10th time since 2012 it has made the list.
The contest recognizes UNBC efforts to create a new off-campus workplace location program to provide flexibility that allows some employees to work from their homes.

UNBC was also cited for offering educational opportunities to its employees, such as tuition waivers that apply to staff and their families.
The annual Mediacorp competition is open to all employers whose head office or principal place of business is in B.C. learning and working environment for everyone.”
Selection criteria is based on such factors as physical workplace, work atmosphere, health/family benefits, vacation policies, employee communications, performance management, training and skills development and community involvement.
