The University of Northern British Columbia will be holding three convocation ceremonies this Friday at the Charles Jago Northern Sport Centre - that's how many it will take to hand out all the degrees, certificates and diplomas roughly 840 students will receive.
The 9:30 a.m. ceremony will feature installation of John MacDonald as the new chancellor and acceptance of an honorary degree by the family of Sophie Thomas, the respected Dakelh elder and traditional healer who passed away in March.
