U-14 Panthers end season with provincial silver

The Prince George Panthers got hot at the right time and came home with the silver medal in the gold bracket at the under-14 C girls provincial softball championship last weekend in Duncan.

The Prince George Panthers under14 girls softball team rolled to a silver-medal finish in the gold bracket last weekend at the provincial C championship in Surrey. The Panthers went 4-0 to win their pook, then won three of their five playoff games. They lost in the championship gamme 6-5 to Alberni Valley.

The Prince George Panthers got hot at the right time and came home with the silver medal in the gold bracket at the under-14 C girls provincial softball championship last weekend in Duncan. The Panthers rolled to a 4-0 record in the round-robin to win their pool, then went 3-2 in the playoff round. Prince George lost 6-5 to Alberni Valley in Sunday's championship game. The 10-player Panther roster included Stacia Leclerc, Taylor Parr, Kaitlyn Nikic, Avery Bressette, Abby Allen, Lilowynn Thompson, Ashley Schulli, Alexa McTavish, Jessa Brewer and Emily Ferguson. David Cake, Jen Ferguson and Scott Allen were the coaches.
