Prince George RCMP are requesting the public's help in locating two youths who walked away from a detention camp south of Prince George.
Just before 9:30 am, the Prince George RCMP received a report that the two left Camp Trapping 50 kilometres south of Prince George off Highway 97.
Police and a service dog with handler searched the area but without success.
"The youths would have to navigate through six kilometres of terrain in order to get to Highway 97, assuming they head in the right direction," Prince George RCMP Cpl. Craig Douglass said.
Both are male and are wearing large blue work parkas, black gum boots and one is wearing checkered pajama pants and the other grey sweat pants. One is 14 years old and the other is 17 years old.
Police are asking drivers to keep an eye out for the two, who may be attempting to hitchhike from the area and urge motorists to not stop if they seem them but rather call 9-1-1 immediately.
