Two large trees on the east side of city hall will be removed next week.
Both trees are green ashes and have lost large branches, making them hazardous.
Wood from the removed trees will be given to the Prince George Turners Guild.
As part of its tree planting succession plan, the city has already planted 12 new trees at city hall.
