Two Prince George men will appear in Prince George provincial court this week following their arrest Sept. 1 when police seized firearms and drugs from a home in the VLA earlier this month.

Dean Reginald Anderson is scheduled to appear on Wednesday. Anderson faces charges of possession of a controlled substance, careless use of a firearm and unauthorized possession of a firearm and two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Garry Christopher Peak is to appear on Thursday. Peak faces three charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

One other person, Robert Junior Badger, was sentenced to 30 days in jail on Sept. 6 after he pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance from the incident.

The conviction and charges stem fro a Sept. 1 raid of a home in the 2200 block of Norwood Street just before 8 p.m.

Police said a "significant amount" of methamphetamine, heroin, morphine and pills believed to be ecstacy as well as drug trafficking paraphernalia including scales and packaging material were seized.

Also recovered, according to police, were a sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun with a pistol grip hidden in a compartment in the residence and a laptop computer stolen earlier in the day at a break-and-enter on the 1600 block of Edmonton Street.

A 41-year-old woman was also arrested at the scene but faces no charges.

Anderson has been released on $1,000 bail and Peak remains in custody .
