The drivers of a pickup truck and a car were killed in a head-on collision Monday morning on Highway 97, about five kilometres south of Lac La Hache.
A northbound GMC pickup crossed into the path of a southbound Kia Soul sometime before 9 a.m. resulting in the deaths of a 55-year-old man and a 48-year-old man, RCMP said.
There were no other occupants in the vehicles. Names of the victims were not released.
The highway at the scene was slippery with snow and ice, according to police.
"Police wish to remind the public to drive according to the road conditions and be aware of how quickly the weather can change," RCMP said.
