Two men sought in Prince George death from Gateway fight

Prince George RCMP are turning to the public once again in the case of a local resident's death from a fight last week.

On Friday, Oct. 4 around 11:20 p.m., several people were involved in a physical altercation near 20th Avenue and Redwood Street, the Gateway area of the city near the Victoria Street McDonald's, that led to the death of 35-year-old Gregory Gareth Wale.

Two men are now considered persons of interest in the on-going investigation and Mounties need help in identifying them.

"This death was both tragic and unnecessary," says Cpl. Craig Douglass in a statement. "Our hope is that the identification of these two men will further the investigation and get us closer to providing Gregory Wale's family with some closure."

The first suspect (pictured left in above photo) is described as:

  • First Nations
  • Around 30 years old
  • Short dark hair with a scruffy mustache and beard

The second suspect (pictured right in above photo) is described as:

  • First Nations
  • Around 25 years old
  • Dark hair with stubble on his face
