Two Prince George men have been charged following a police raid on a marijuana grow operation on Chief Lake Road.
Jason Dennis Townsend, 34, is charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order.
Gerald Robert Cunningham, 23, has been charged with production of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Townsend is a former member of an outlaw gang, RCMP spokesman Gary Godwin said.
"The weapon he had is a derivative of a very popular assault rifle used around the world. It is semiautomatic, prohibited and [was] fully-loaded," Godwin said. "There is lots to be said for taking an Emergency Response Team to a situation like this. Due to the professionalism of the Emergency Response Team, there arrests were without incident."
Police seized 150 marijuana plants from the home.
Both men appeared in court on Friday and remain in custody.
