Trust your intuition for a better life

Gut instincts, inner voice and hunch - call it what you will, but it all leads to inner peace, said Judy Guido, president of the Inner Peace Movement of Canada. During an hour and a half educational program held at 1 and 7 p.m.

Gut instincts, inner voice and hunch - call it what you will, but it all leads to inner peace, said Judy Guido, president of the Inner Peace Movement of Canada.

During an hour and a half educational program held at 1 and 7 p.m. today at the Days Inn, Guido helps guests take a look at the bigger picture, release stress and be more positive and directed.

"We are all unique and have our own answers within," Guido explained. "When we see ourselves in a positive light, the world around us changes. Worry and fear is replaced with happiness and love. When you get it right, it feels like coming home. There is no limit to what you can accomplish."

As a young person, Guido said, she spent all her energy rebelling against authority until she attended a talk on inner peace, where she learned the only real authority is your own.

"That's when I stopped rebelling and got on with my life," said Guido, who has been with the Inner Peace Movement of Canada since 1971 and is a certified consultant and instructor with the organization.

Balance of thought and feeling is very important for a fulfilled life, she said.

"People who live too much in their heads and are always analyzing everything down to the most minute detail can lose feelings. They're always thinking instead just being."

The Inner Peace Movement of Canada, a non profit educational program, helps people recognize their true worth.

During the talks participants will learn how to keep life simple and joyful, find inner security and avoid distress and anxiety. The Inner Peace Movement gives people tools and techniques to learn to trust themselves, stay relaxed and live their potential.

The 90-minute talks are $16 per person, payable at the door at 1 and 7 p.m., Days Inn, 600 Quebec Street.
