The Prince George Community Foundation and the City of Prince George invites residents to participate in a community conversation.

At the heart of True Sport is a simple idea, good sport can make a great difference in the lives of those who participate in it as well as in the communities that support it.

The Prince George True Sport Small Grants Fund awards up to $5,000 to support those interested in connecting with others and creating community-driven sport projects that enhance and strengthen Prince George.

All projects are initiated, planned and implemented by community members.

Every award will be matched by the individual, neighbourhoods or community group with volunteer time, donated materials, professional services or cash.

There are two meetings, which will provide more information about the grant project and encourage discussions about how to use True Sport to celebrate successes and help to address the challenges.

Session 1 will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Wolf Den Room at the Dr. Jago Northern Sport Centre and Session II will take place Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Keith Gordon Room, Prince George Public Library.

Email Judy Neiser at [email protected] to confirm attendance.
