Trio of cannabis stores targeted in break and enters

Police arrest three suspects and remain on lookout for two more
cannabis

Police have arrested three suspects and are on the lookout for two more in connection with a series of overnight break and enters that targeted a trio of Prince George cannabis stores.

The trouble began just before midnight on Monday when members were called to Zaga's Cannabis Shop in the 1500 block of Victoria Street.

Roughly an hour later, at around 1 a.m. on Tuesday, RCMP were alerted to a break and enter at Flora Prince George in the 3300 block of Massey Drive.

As investigators were gathering evidence from the first two incidents, a third report came in at 3:30 a.m., this time for Grasshopper Retail in the 400 block of George Street.

Police got a break as the property manager happened to be watching a live-feed from the store's video surveillance.

RCMP flooded the area and, with the help of a tracking dog, apprehended one man and two youths.

Adam Todd Tyler Bustin-Lewis, 21, has been charged with break and enter with intent to commit an offence in relation to the last of the calls, according to court records.

RCMP remain on the lookout for two more suspects, who appear to be females between the ages of 16 and 21.

Initial estimates put the cumulative total of stolen product and damages to the businesses at over $30,000 and police believe the same group committed all three crimes.

Anyone with information on the incidents is asked to contact Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300.
