The Prince George Citizen conducted an online poll in partnership with the Urban Aboriginal Working Group to raise public education and awareness regarding homelessness.

The Citizen poll asked "what do you believe is the most important way to assist homeless citizens of Prince George?"

A resounding 47 per cent of online voters, for a total of 165 votes, said treatment and/or mental health needs to be provided; affordable housing and employment received 80 votes each for 23 per cent of the total; more shelters received four per cent with 15 votes; and more outreach workers garnered three per cent with 11 votes.

There were a total of 351 votes. Remember, this is not a scientific poll.

The next poll question asks "who will you be voting for in the upcoming provincial election?"
