Transportation air quality dialog scheduled

The Prince George Air Improvement Roundtable (PGAIR) is hosting its second dialog on transportation's impact on air quality on March 27. The session will feature presentations by B.C.

The Prince George Air Improvement Roundtable (PGAIR) is hosting its second dialog on transportation's impact on air quality on March 27.

The session will feature presentations by B.C. Ministry of Environment air quality meteorologist Dennis Fudge, CN Rail spokesperson David Sutherland, City of Prince George director of planning and development Dan Milburn and supply and fleet services manager Scott Bone.

B.C. Scrap-It Program spokesperson Dennis Rogoza will also be at the presentation to speak about the future of the program.

The free event runs from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on March 27 at the Prince George Civic Centre, room 204.

The first session was held Feb. 28 and only drew two members of the public. It featured presentations by UNBC air quality researcher Peter Jackson, B.C. Trucking Association president Louise Yako, Prince George Airport spokesperson Lindsay Cotter and Carbon Offset Aggregation Cooperative CEO George Stedeford.
