I am not in support of the proposal to rezone/establish the property at 18th and Foothills for the BC Transit shop and service area.
The grounds in this area are a treasure and well utilized for outdoor recreational activities (walking, running, hiking, dog exercising, horseback riding and shows, outdoor skating oval, and soccer fields). Just the odor of all of the diesel fumes will do away with the fresh air aspect of these activities.
The thought of creating an industrial use adjacent to this area is very disturbing. This is a recreational area. It should not become an industrial area.
Why are you even considering relocating an industrial business from an Industrial park to a non-industrial area? It is absurd.
