A trailer stolen from a Prince George home is now back in the yard of its rightful owners, thanks to a Citizen reader.
When Brad Russell went to bed on Friday night at about 11:30, the trailer was still on his property but when he and wife Kristy woke up on Saturday morning, it was gone.
Less than 24 hours after the story broke in The Citizen, the Russells got a call from the police with good news.
"It was abandoned near the fire hall across from Westgate on Konrath Road," Kristy said. "All the contents were still in it so we think [the thieves] were hoping to find an ATV or something of more value in it. Somebody recognized it from reading about it in the newspaper."
The police were called and the trailer was returned.
