A fire on Helm Drive is still under investigation, but damage was substantial. The modular home caught on fire at about 11:45 a.m., Monday, bringing 15 firefighters from three fire halls. Firefighters initially believed the building to be occupied but followup investigation proved it was actually vacant, therefore no one was injured or rendered homeless. The heavy smoke and considerable flames did approximately $50,000 in damages, said fire officials. The cause is under investigation.
