New traffic signals are in place on Highway 16 at Bear Road and Kimball Road near Bon Voyage Plaza.
They will be up an running by Thursday evening, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure said in a press release.
Final work on the traffic islands will be completed in spring 2018.
The day-labour project used local equipment and operators and cost $1-million, funded by the provincial government and the city.
