For some, Christmas is not a happy holiday. It can be filled with stress for parents and disappointment for children.
To help ease these feelings of sadness for those in need, Gateway Christian Ministries will host the Great Toy Giveway set in a winter wonderland Saturday, Dec. 17.
The free event runs twice, 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4 p.m., with games, carnival-style booths, snacks, prizes and at the end of the party, each child gets a Christmas gift valued between $25 and $40.
The morning session still has plenty of space and there are a few spaces left for the afternoon.
