Touch a Truck returns to Canada Games Plaza in Prince George on Friday for the first time since 2018.

The Prince George Public Library and the City of Prince George are hosting Touch a Truck alongside Foodie Fridays tomorrow (Aug. 11) at Canada Games Plaza.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The tentative list of vehicles for kids young and old to check out includes a school bus, a city bus, a luxury coach, a 48-foot rig with trailer, a sleeper rig, a sheriff van, a drag car, a junior drag car and truck, electric vehicles, a firetruck (depending on availability), a tractor, and even food trucks, according to a library release.

Foodie Fridays will feature local food vendors and face painting. There will also be live music by Deuces Wild, as well as a rock painting station.

The festivities move inside the library from 2 to 4 p.m., where participants can build their own cardboard vehicles and watch the movie Cars 2.

“This free event is always a huge hit as most of us never grow out of our fascination with all things that go vroom,” Jen Rubadeau, manager of communications and engagement at the Prince George Public Library.
