Aspiring models have one of Canada's top talent agents at their door today in Prince George. The Jana Phillips Agency of Prince George is hosting Charles Stuart, one of the country's top and long-serving talent scouts.
"Charles is one of the biggest agents in the world. He represents [supermodel] Coco Rocha, he is the founder and president of the Faces West convention, he is truly one of the great agents in Canada," said Phillips.
He has been to Prince George once before, and, through agents like Phillips, has had an ongoing awareness of Prince George's modelling talent over the years.
"He has found talent here before. We've had a few girls from Prince George go international through him," said Phillips. "He is here doing a search for models and actors. He will interview each candidate for a few minutes, one on one, and even if he doesn't choose you or sign you to a contract, he is happy to give you feedback and valuable industry advice."
Those who might be contracted by Stuart would have Phillips as the "mother agent" to handle local aspects of their career development while Stuart would oversee that and coordinate any international work that might transpire.
Those wishing to make their presence known to Stuart can do so by lining up for short interviews starting at noon at the Ramada Hotel.
Directions will be visible upon arrival at the lobby, and those under the age of 18 are required to bring a parent or guardian along.
Phillips said attire and mindset should be appropriate for any professional job interview.
There is a $20 administrative fee payable at the time of interview.
