Ticket beef turns into arrest

Crown counsel has approved a charge of perjury against Quesnel truck driver Michael William Moore.

Crown counsel has approved a charge of perjury against Quesnel truck driver Michael William Moore.

Moore, 55, appeared in traffic court on April 18 to dispute a ticket he was issued for a Motor Vehicle Act offence but was not only found guilty of the offence but then arrested as a result of his own testimony, RCMP said at the time.

Moore was released on an undertaking and is next scheduled to appear on court in early June.
