Severe thunderstorms are expected to roll through Prince George and the North Cariboo regions this evening, Environment Canada says.
"Radar indicates that thunderstorms are developing currently over the Central Interior west of Quesnel and Prince George and are expected to continue northeast this evening. As they advance they have the potential to become severe and are forecast to weaken later this evening," the agency said in an update issued at 4:19 p.m.
People are advised to stay indoors to avoid being hit by lightning.
