Thunder and lightning are on their way, Environment Canada said in an update issued at 3:25 p.m.
"A cluster of severe thunderstorms is moving across Highway 97 between Red Rock and Dunkley," the agency said. "These thunderstorms continue to move eastwards at 25 km/h.
"Another cluster of severe thunderstorms have developed 30 km west of Quesnel. These thunderstorms are moving towards the Quesnel region at 25 km/h."
The public is advised to find shelter or remain indoors if the storm strikes.
