Police stopped a home invasion-style robbery this morning (Feb. 25), arresting three people in the process.

At about 10:45 a.m., Prince George RCMP received a report of a possible home invasion in progress on West Austin Road in the Hart.

Police were told that two suspects forced their way into an occupied home.

Multiple frontline officers then arrived on scene within a few minutes.

When police arrived the two suspected adult men fled on foot, but were arrested by police before they could get to an awaiting vehicle.

A youth male occupant of the vehicle was also arrested; police then located a modified firearm near the scene, stolen property, a replica firearm, and a small number of drugs were also seized during the investigation.

Four adults were in the home at the time of the invasion, and one received minor injuries.

The three men arrested, aged 17, 19, and 27, will be held in custody overnight and appear in provincial court tomorrow (Feb. 26).

Investigators believe that this was a targeted incident and the suspects and adults inside the home all knew each other.
