The lights went out for thousands of Prince George B.C. Hydro customers shortly after 3 p.m. today (May 5).
B.C. Hydro is responding to multiple power outages including two affecting over 2,900 customers, another affecting 2,200 and one affecting 1,300 customers.
An outage affecting 2,914 was reported at 3:12 pm and North of Westcreek Road, and an outage affecting 2,909 was also reported west of Shelly Road, East of Foothills Road, South of Turner Road, and North of PG Pulpmill Road.
B.C. Hydro says the cause is still under investigation. Crews are currently assigned to the outage.
A minute later an outage affecting 2,212 customers was reported South of Killy Road, North of Sturgeon Road, West of Rosemont Road and then an outage affecting 1,333 was reported north of Cranbrook Hill Road, West of Banzer Drive, East of Miworth Road and South of Chief Lake Road due to a transmission circuit failure.
