Despite a thorough investigation, Prince George Mounties are still searching for Regnald Percy Waite, last seen on Aug. 25 around 11 p.m.
Police received a report on Aug. 30 that Waite was missing and had not been seen in several days, which is unusual for him, say his family and friends.
The 68-year-old's home shows no signs that he was planning to leave and his vehicles were left at the residence.
Waite enjoys the outdoors and is known to go for walks, hikes and bike rides, in and around the community.
Places of note include Cottonwood Island Park and Ginters Field (near 18th Avenue and Foothills Boulevard) and Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park. He also makes frequent visits to bus stops near the corner of 10th Avenue and Freeman Street.
It is also believed he took his bike with him, although police do not currently have a description.
Foul play is not suspected, but police are concerned for Waite's health.
If you are outdoors, police ask that you report anything suspicious such as found clothing or bikes.
Waite is described as:
- Caucasian male
- 167 cm (5'6")
- 82 kg (180 pounds); has lost weight in the past year
- Blue eyes (wears glasses)
- Grey hair
- May have been wearing "Croc" branded shoes, shorts and a tank top
If you have any information about Waite's whereabouts, call Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300.
