After eight weeks of renovation, the BG Urban Grill is now ready to serve the public at Prince George Airport.
Several new faces along with many long term employees are behind the counter after a number of Eurest and BG employees came to Prince George from Vancouver to train the local staff.
"Training is an ongoing process, so we ask customers be patient as we get familiar with all the new equipment," restaurant manager Christina Antrobus said.
A few major changes include a full size espresso machine, comfortable couches to sit on as well as a retail section. Sundries, magazines, toothbrushes and YXS promotional items, among many other items, can now be purchased onsite.
BG Urban Grill offers patrons a "European culinary experience that is focused on innovative meal creations."
The menu includes hand-made hot grilled sandwiches, decadent cakes, a variety of globally inspired entrees. Coffee blends, exclusively roasted for BG, include Rain City Blend, Garden Blend along with a variety of special beverages like the chai tea latte will be offerred.
A grand opening party will take place in April. A date has not yet been set.
