Charges of uttering threats and mischief have been approved against the 16-year-old boy arrested this week after a "creepy clown" threat was leveled against Prince George schools.
Criminal justice branch spokesman Daniel McLaughlin confirmed the charges Friday, saying the mischief charge comes as a result of allegedly interfering with the use of property.
The teen's next appearance in court is slated for early November. McLaughlin was unable to say whether he was released from custody following an appearance in Prince George provincial court on Friday afternoon.
Because he is a youth, the teen's name cannot released.
As of late Friday, no arrests have been made in a second scare that emerged earlier the same day.
