A pair of violent attacks on taxi drivers resulted in an arrest Monday.
The first incident happened in the early morning hours, reported to police from a gas station at the corner of 20th Avenue and
Upland Street.
"A 56-year-old taxi driver suffered serious injuries when an adult Caucasian male entered his taxi and attacked him with a knife, after demanding money," said Prince George RCMP spokesman Cpl. Craig Douglass.
"The suspect fled with a small amount of cash."
At about 7 a.m. police were called again to a victimized cabbie. This time the driver was a 64-year-old who was confronted by a man with a knife in the 1500 block of 12th Avenue.
Three hours later, police located a suspect. Arrested was Donald George Witso, 32.
Crown has approved multiple charges against him and a court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 19.
