Northern B.C.'s biggest bridal show is in its 20th year and it's time to shake things up.

Dave Mothus of Entertainment Group, who has hosted the Sweetheart Bridal Extravaganza for the last three years with business partner Steve Brawn, said it's time for the show to grow.

Entertainment Group is partnering with the Prince George Citizen production company to help coordinate the event at the Civic Centre Feb. 5, 2012.

Mothus said things have changed in his life and in Brawn's and it's time to refocus their energies.

"We're really excited about working with the Entertainment Group and together we will make this the premiere bridal show in British Columbia -- not just in the north," said Hugh Nicholson, Citizen publisher. "I have coordinated more than 15 major bridal shows over the years and we are looking forward to taking this show to the next level."

Mothus is looking forward to seeing progress.

"Me and Steve realized we took the show as far as we could and finding a partner with bridal show experience will ensure another level of success," said Mothus.

In previous years the Sweetheart Bridal Extravaganza offers attendees more than 70 exhibitors showcasing everything a bride will need to make her special day is one to remember, as well as a variety of entertainment and live performances, contests and special offers.

"This will be the must-attend event in the 2012 bridal season for anyone getting married or in the industry," said Nicholson.

More details will be forthcoming in the coming months.
