Police in Quesnel are cautiously optimistic that foul play was not a factor in death discovered Wednesday morning. Mounties were called to the scene at about 8 a.m.
"Neighbours in the area of Bouchie Street located an unresponsive male laying on the ground outside," said Const. Krista Vrolyk, spokeswoman for the Quesnel police. "Initial investigation indicates that the death does not appear suspicious however an autopsy will be conducted."
An autopsy was scheduled for Thursday but the results were not known as of press time. The name and other general features of the deceased male were not disclosed. More information will be sought by The Citizen once a cause of death has been determined.
