The first occurred on Tuesday, Oct. 28, when police received a call at 4:30 a.m. of someone calling for help in an alley behind the 1500 block of Queensway.

RCMP arrived on the scene to find a man had been bear sprayed and then robbed of his jacket, wallet and cell phone by two men and a woman. A police service dog located the jacket and an empty can of bear spray in a nearby dumpster.

All three assailants were described as First Nations. The woman was described as 173 cm (5'8") tall with a large build and long black hair and wearing a black jacket and white T-shirt. One man was described as 20 to 30 years old, 178 cm (5'10") tall and weighing 64 kg (140 lbs) and wearing a black ball cap and all black clothing. The other man was described as 20 to 30 years old, 173 cm (5'8") tall and wearing a light coloured jacket.

The two men are also believed to have robbed another man of a quantity of cash during the early morning of Saturday, Nov. 1 in an empty lot near the corner of the Highway 97 and Northwood Pulpmill Road.

The two were described as 20 to 30 years old, between 178 and 183 cm (5'8" and 5'10"), and wearing dark clothing and ball caps.

Both victims were transported to the University Hospital of Northern B.C., treated for minor injuries and released.
