The passenger in a vehicle pulled over late Monday night because it was driving without its headlights on faces charges.
Police say Stephen James Sherman, 24, is suspected of stealing another vehicle during the early morning of June 7 in Buckhorn.
He was found with tools believed to have been used in the offence as well as a small amount of methamphetamine, according to RCMP.
Sherman remained in custody as of Tuesday on eight charges, including theft of a motor vehicle.
