Firefighters from four hall converged on an 800-block Beger Road home late Monday night.
Called to the scene at 11 p.m., they launched a "fast offensive attack" that quickly extinguished the blaze.
"The fire appears to have started in the chimney then proceeded to the attic," Prince George Fire Rescue acting assistant chief John Law said in a press release.
The home's two occupants were outside by the time crews had arrived and there were no injuries. A damage estimate was not yet available.
