The suspect was high on drugs and resisted arrest of two officers who called for assistance. As the third and fourth officer arrived the suspect, who has 46 previous criminal code convictions, continued to resist arrest but was taken into custody.

The suspect was taken before a justice of the peace the next day and charged with five counts of theft and damages to the vehicles along with resisting arrest and assaulting police officers. Before being taken to PGRCC, he claimed to need medical attention and was taken to hospital.

While at UHNBC he attempted to escape and resisted arrest by another police officer. This incident required the assistance of an ambulance attendant and a Tazor was used to subdue the accused.
