Prince George RCMP have arrested a man in connection with a robbery this week at a downtown hotel.
Shane Allan Keays, 45, was apprehended Thursday just after 5 a.m. at a local motel, Prince George RCMP said.
Keays is alleged to have walked into the lobby of the Days Inn at Sixth and Quebec on Tuesday just after 9:30 p.m. and ask a clerk for change. But when she opened the till, he reportedly assaulted her, grabbed the cash, then fled on foot after breaking through a glass door.
Keay, who has a long record of criminal offences committed in Prince George and Kamloops, will remain in custody until at least his next court date on Wednesday.
