Relief for local corporations during the COVID-19 pandemic continues.

Northern Development Initiative Trust (NDIT) announced a new program this week, with money in hand, to help Prince George and regional organizations to hire local employees to support businesses.

With up to $75,000 set to be covered per successful applicant, the Regional Business Liaison program (RBL) will hire up 12 positions on a one-year term in NDIT’s four regions:

  • Northeast
  • Northwest
  • Prince George
  • Cariboo-Chilcotin/Lillooet

It encourages Community Futures Development Corporations, Chambers of Commerce, local governments, community economic development entities or regional destination marketing organizations to participate and bring in local talent.

NDIT says the funds, which will be a one-time investment, will cover 100 per cent of eligible expenses to support small- and medium-sized companies to provide additional community resources during the outbreak.

Organizations have until May 29 to apply for the RBL program.

More information is available on NDIT’s website.
